But I love the football that brings people together across religious divides, geographic divides, political divides. I love the fact that for ninety minutes in a rectangular piece of grass, people can forget, hopefully, whatever might be going on in their life and rejoice in this communal celebration of humanity. The biggest diverse, invasive or pervasive culture that human kind knows is football and I love the fact that, at the altar of football, human kind can come worship and celebrate. x

May 23, 2007 an unforgettable evening, the 7th trophy raised in the sky of Athens as well as had been done 13 years earlier with 4 goals to Barcelona…the AC Milan of the 2 final in 3 years, the AC Milan of Kaká, Maldini, Seedorf, Nesta and Inzaghi: a fantastic team…That Wednesday six years ago was the night of Super Pippo’s goals, his breathless exultation and excited, was the night of Kaká’s assists to uncheck the man to go straight into the door, it was the night of the captain who won his 5th champions league in the pitch, no one like him in the history of Football…waiting to relive yet these magical evenings we just have to remember and celebrate the past, those already ‘lived, the ones that only AC Milan in Italy has been able to give us.

Six years ago, this very goal by the one and only, Pippo Inzaghi, would give AC Milan their 7th UCL title. That magical night at Greece served as a vendetta for rossoneri, who 2 years before, had lost the cup to that very same team, Liverpool.

Without a doubt, one of the most beatiful goals my eyes have ever seen.
